A seapony has the same type of tail as a seahorse while a merpony has the same type of tail as mermaids, mermens, most fish, and dolphins have a.k.a. the most benefit back end for swimming.

also sea ponys only have fins and a tail. Merponies have front legs and a tail.

In regards to the winger/breezie thing, we can just do a new round of voting after this one if that ends up being the option chosen. to narrow down the choice. I think that would work out well.

Maybe we should start with : Horn or no horn? and wings or no wings?

Since I can't know who voted specifically for wingers or breezies, and don't want to reset votes, a last minute poll if they win is the way I'll go. Sorry about this folks, I should not have mindlessly forced my head canon into this. My bad, I'll be more careful in the future.

Hah, unicorn winger would be fun. Assuming both of them keep the lead by a close margin when this round ends, I will definitely throw that option in when voting between wingers and breezies. I think you are on to something Epona, asking about wings, horns, and I guess gills would have been a better route, I'll have to keep that in mind in case of a round two. You just can't predict the creativity that comes out of a community.

I was going to make a custom winger with a horn, I think it's totally possible!

Just a reminder bump that we're nearing the end of round one, so if you haven't voted yet, be sure to soon. Unicorns slightly pulled ahead of Wingers/Breezies, and Pegasus is drawing up behind for third. As long as unicorn and bug wings remain in first and second place, I will extend voting for one day to decide if we're going for a uni-winger,uni-breezie hybrids or sticking with the winning mono species.
