Mayonnaise or Miracle Whip?

Miracle Whip for me. I don't like mayo very much but I will eat it if I have too. 

When I was very little my brother convinced me that spaghetti with sauce on it was nasty so if I ordered spaghetti I would ask for cheese instead of sauce.   Of course later I found out I loved spaghetti with sauce, not sure why my brother told me that in the first place. I still think spaghetti with cheese on it without sauce is good too and will sometimes eat it that way if there is not a lot of spaghetti sauce left.

I use mayo . Miracle Whip is salads dressing it says on the bottle and it taste  gross to me    , i don't like salads dressing on any thing but salads

Definetely Mayo, but Mayonnaise on a sandwich? *shivers* We eat it with French Fries here

Hahaha, when I was a kid, I loved Miracle Whip sandwiches....yep, just the spread with bread.

Then something happened - my taste buds changed on a whim, and I totally switched over to mustard on everything! 

The only thing I'll eat Miracle Whip with is grilled cheese sandwiches. And the only thing I'll have Hellman's mayo with is in tuna fish and certain other sandwiches.

Oh yeah, that reminds me- my favorite sandwich when I was a kid was peanut butter and mayo.

This photo was taken in Brussels, i suppose (seeing the "Manneken Pis" written on the cardboard) but we don't have peanut sauce here in Belgium, that is typically Dutch.

That photo is from Amsterdam, across the canal from central station. Although we did have our first fry/mayo experience in Bruges just a couple weeks beforehand.

This one, however, takes the prize! On a windy day to the seaside in northern Holland, my host family bought me this delectable (w/ peanut sauce and mayo):

I grew up on miracle whip. I didn't know about real mayonnaise until I was 9 years old. I do not like miracle whip. I love real mayonnaise though!

I wonder why they have a fries place called "Manneken Pis" (the lil boy peeing, symbol of Brussels), in Amsterdam? Maybe a belgian owner?

 I'll be sure to ask if i ever go there (in fact i was in Amsterdam last Saturday, but not in that vicinity)

There's a local fast food chain here that has fried asparagus every year for a month or so right around my birthday. They have a garlic aioli that is olive oil mayo based and so so good. It's my birthday treat each year.

Mayo doesn't go on fries.  Gravy and cheese curds go on fries  Poutine all the way....Eh

My new jar of Hellman's is the olive oil based one. When my mom picked it up to surprise me, after we'd had this conversation, she figured that would be what I would prefer and she was right. I haven't tried it on fries yet, but considering that I like creamy garlic dip on wedges, I would probably like it. I do love poutine too, though! Mmmm!
