How to make tight Rapunzel curls (ringlets).

Hey,

I received Rapunzel yesterday, but it's so difficult to style her hair. Especially the mane. I got a message from an arena member not so long ago to make the curls very tight in order to keep the hair appear to be long. But I just did my ringlets and they make Punzie's hair look very short. How to make super tight ringlets?

Her mane looks very messy. I don't know if it's been trimmed either. Cause when I see other Punzies their mane looks longer.

I would like her mane to be haging down like her tail instead of so curled up and tangled.

I've heard for the mane if you wrap it down round a straw that'll get tight curls but keep the length.

Make sure you pour hot water on the hair for a couple of seconds after you put them in straws, then the curls will be really tight. Here's one I did today.

I think you could do the straw tutorial with some bigger straws, like milkshake straws.  I just wanted to say I think she looks amazing as she is right now.  So pretty!

So I don't think you have to be picky on the ringlets, she didn't have them when Hasbro sent her out to everyone back in the 80's.

Just take a little water on your fingers (or use a mist bottle) and run them through the curls. The water will add weight and take out some of the tight curl.   You could do that more by the base of the mane, and leave the tips curly and I think it would look nice :)

Thank you all for your response. I am actually trying out the tutorial at the moment and it's amazing! I have done her mane and still need to do her tail. I can't wait for the result tomorrow!

By the way. I seperated her mane in sections of 6. Should I do the same with her tail? Or should I devide it in 4 sections?

This is my second attempt With straws this time!

I seperated her tail into 6 sections just like her mane. I'm too symetrical....I can't stand it if her tail is spread in different section then her mane lol :D

I did the straw method on mine, except I used smoothie straws for 'fatter' curls.
It looks like the braid on yours is much shorter than it should be

Yeah, her mane seems slightly uneven so she might have had a hairtrim. But I'm not sure, cause this is the first time I see her in person.
