Rearing pose position holders?
« on: July 17, 2016, 08:13:07 AM »
What are those things called that help your rearing pose Ponies stand up without falling?

And where can I find them?

Thanks.

Once there was replacements being made. I don't know if anyone is still making them.... but if you look for "so soft stand my little pony" on ebay the originals pop up from time to time. Use completed sold sales there to give an idea of what you may need to bid to win one.

They're stands. I remember finding a tutorial on how to make one, but my computer is kaput. It didn't seem too hard to make. Something about a circular piece of wood and lining up the holes to the feet and putting pegs or screws in the bottom and placing them in the holes of her feet.

ebay.com there was both a magic star(may 11th BIN pony collector seller) and a truly(july 3rd auction) who sold with the stand in the $20 mark.

Not multiple listings with them included daily, but I wouldn't call them rare either. they pop up regularly enough. Just keep checking ebay, or save a search to e-mail you when one is listed.

I keep thinking one of our many resin makers will take on the task of creating repros again. Hopefully someday!

I bought a repro stand at the Fair this year, I believe the seller is working on perfecting her design and will have them in multiple colors. I'm really happy with the one I got.

It was space I had my repros from as well...good to know there is someone else making them now for others.

As has been mentioned, as long as you are prepared to shell out for them and you have patience you will track originals down. However, they are expensive and are some of the harder to find accessories. I guess because unless you know what they are for, they are not always labeled correctly on ebay or considered important enough to even sell.

By themselves the stands can get to the $20 mark and I know people will pay more.

Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

Starcatcher has a magnet, doesn't she? You could just put a little piece of metal under her, unless the later release doesn't have the magnet. I just can't remember! Gah!

My husband made me a set of them out of wood. He was so proud of them, but they're really just little coasters with tiny dowels sticking up. They work, though, and Magic Star doesn't fall over anymore.
Thanks so much to Calico_Star for her beautiful work on my Avatar!
