Eh, it's not the first time we've had 3D symbols. The Sundae Bests, Precious Pockets, Secret Beauties, Merry go Rounds, Jewel  Ponies, Cutie Cascades, Princess Ponies, Dance n Prance.
It's not an issue with the symbol being 3D, for me at least. It's the issue that it's just so big compared to the ponies themselves.

I know that G3 had some larger 3D symbols but the ponies were bigger and the symbol did cover half of the body XD

Imagine the hole that would be there if a customizer decided to take that symbol off or had to for whatever reason, lol.

Stanhopes were really popular in the 19 century. you could buy an object like a pair of binoculars or a sewing case and it would have a tiny little window you would look through and see a scene. Mostly the scenes were souvenir related or religious.
