Any Irish ponies here?

Due to the uk deciding they want financial ruin and no job prospects, i have decided to move to Southern Ireland. I have never been but they are already in the eu and most of my gluten free food comes from there so that is my first choice.

But I have never been and I need to hear from people who live there so I can get a feel for the place. Things I need to know include:
Do they have an NHS?
Are there good small animal vets?
Can you get the free view channels?
What are the people like?

Any info will be gratefully received.
