I generally try to avoid painting identical symbols on both sides but if I have to, I do a pencil sketch on paper and transfer it with transfer paper or kitchen parchment paper.

I was actually wondering if transfer/carbon paper was an option here. How in the world do you transfer with kitchen parchment paper? I actually have some of that around.
