coco pommel's hair
« on: July 05, 2016, 02:31:45 AM »
Bbts auto shipped some stuff i had on order  I guess it was siting in the loot pile for too long
any way   as a result I got  my  articulated explore equestria ponies in the post today.

my word is that hair  awefull .  these are regarded as some of the worst hair wise in the whole FIM  line right?

the fact that coco is missing her bangs is a bit disappointing but   I was able to style both her and twilight to look like they had bangs and the results i thing are pretty good!

I saw some of those articulated ponies in TRU recently...my word that hair looks crispy, though!

How are the articulations, do they move well? Do they have a big range of motion?

the hair is  not pleasant at all .  im not eve sure its nylon .

they have a decent range of movement tho some poses can look a little odd  because of the way the neck/head is.

twilights wings don't move  I think the other versions do tho?

its an interesting gimic but  its not  great.  the joints feel kind of loose already.

Yeah Coco's hair is horrid. I have a theory that it's actually some kind of cheap Polypropylene hair..
Is Twilight's hair the same?

I managed to get my Coco's hair into pigtails but that is about it XD

Yeah I attempted to make my Twilight look good but I ended up just braiding it xD.

haven't even tried to style my rainbow dash yet her's is just tied back so its not  all over the place.

I already don't like the jointed bodies, but it stinks to hear the hair isn't good either. I think Coco is the only one from the series I want because she's an OC....but I guess I would keep her MIB so I don't have to worry about her hair. lol

I have both this version and her fashion style release.
The FS one is amazing and her hair is nice.
But yeah these jointed ponies do fall short of the mark just a touch.      Neat concept but a little more thought could have gone into them

That's sad, I love polypropylene.  It's so easy to work with.  :(

It is too bad the hair on the poseable ponies is so bad. I have heard this from just about everyone. Hair looks like "fakie" hair.

Wow, that looks nasty  :whoa:
Is the same type of awful hair that most ponies have in the tail we have seen lately in this two years of G4?

Mmm I haven't really opened any of the newer G4s other than baggies and the new Pearl/Headband ones (which seem to have better hair that other releases from this past year or so), but I do recall opening a Rarity that was one of those baggies and the tail wasn't quite as bad as the hair on the jointed ponies.. at least from what I recall

I have the same toy and what I noticed that the tail hair was the same dry gross and frizzy stuff, but the worst kind of it because it was so crispy, but the mane hair was kinda soft but uncurlable, and already frizzy.
