Is Discord a Pony? What counts as "pony"? Fair Exclusive NOT a Pony?

It's so sad! I think a Guardians of Harmony figure could have worked for an exclusive, but it truly had to be an EXCLUSIVE!!! If they made a Tirek or Sombra figure that would have been 100% exclusive to the fair, that would have been great and made us all happy!

Honestly even the concept of a Discord figure for the exclusive isn't even bad. It's just that he isn't an exclusive. Tho it would kinda suck if it turns out the regular release was canceled in the US.

Eh...more like Spike the dog.  I'll buy that Q can be a dog.  Even I can't call him a pony, and I stretch the definition quite a bit...

Instead, I propose exclusive "Urban Applejack" with mohawk haircut, casually-worn denim jacket and animal-print miniskirt:

They say it's a pony head in episode 1 in season 2. Though I agree, it does look like a goat lol

To me his head looks like it's based off a realistic horse, mule, or donkey.  (But not totally realistic since he has fangs and eyebrows, lol.)

Hmmm, in all honesty the Gaurdians of Harmony figures are my favorite ones from G4, the rest are so bland and static.

I get people being upset that it's the same Discord with different eyes, but will the included Fluttershy be released elsewhere, or just at comic con?

In any case I have never been to comic con and don't like not being able to pay the price exclusives go for second hand, so I'm actually kind of pleased he looks so much like a figure I like and will be able to get a hold of later. If I like him with open eyes, well, I know how acetone and paint work.

Only Discord`s head is pony and at that, doesn't look ponyish to me. In Return of Harmony part 1, it's mentioned that he has the head of a pony.

Not happy at all.  That is not a pony and I don't consider it exclusive if it's at the Comic Con as well, much less to be released later down the line.

What happened to the hand painted TAF beauties we used to get? Did that die when FiM happened?

It is not hard to get the exclusives in the Hasbrotoyshop, or it hasn't been in the last few years. Even Muffin pony lingered a little while before selling out.

I'm sure there will be TONS of this figure in the shop after this year's SDCC...

My BIGGEST pet peeve about the MLP Fair Exclusive is that it ISN'T.  We have to share with SDCC. It did not used to be like this, we really DID have an Exclusive!  and it was a BRUSHABLE PONY, imagine that!

This. Like I get that the Fair has to share with SDCC since the organizers used to get stuck with a lot of excess ponies but it isn't even exclusive to SDCC. If there wasn't the almost same figure on Amazon right now while there would be some detractors because it is Discord and not everyone likes him, many would be happy about it and saying about how cool it is that we are getting him.
