I Re-pinked So Soft Twilight
« on: June 26, 2016, 08:02:45 AM »
Hi all,

I finally got a chance to re-pink my SS Twilight, and the results came out pretty great! However, due to the fact her tail had a smidge of the original Hasbro pink, when I re-dyed her hair the mane came out a slightly different pink hue compared to the tail, but it's barely noticeable (hopefully). Let me know what you guys think!

Also, I think her flocking may have picked up a tiny bit of dye. Would stain remover take that out? Please let me know!

Looks great. I'm not sure about stain remover, but I think Rit makes a dye remover? I haven't tried it yet, but I repinked a SS Lickety Split a while back and she got some dye on the side of her head and now I'm wondering if that might help. Anyone else have experience in this?

Thanks everyone for the kind words! It was a lot of fun, I ended up dying twice to make everything look as even as possible XD

Yay! I am so glad. I was kind of obsessing over it before I posted the pics. Thank you so much!

Thanks! And I have seen this too, and I kind of want to try it out. From what I understand it is a "prepping" product, like you use it on something before administering the RIT dye. I feel like it may work, though

Luckily the flocking didn't take on a lot, it's very faint. I might try a spray on stain remover and use a cloth the administer it

She looks beautiful. I have a pony who needs her hair re-pinked, so it was nice to see someone do it so beautifully! I'm curious to what you discover for stain removal on her flocking.

She looks great! I was always afraid if I repinked mine her flocking would stain.  I'm glad to see that you barely notice it!
