Strange question - need your opinion!

So I'm a travel agent, and I love giving my customers little gifts to enjoy while they are away, or can be used on their travels.
With a budget of like, $10 a piece, what would you genuinely appreciate?

Mini colouring books? Playing cards? Phrasebooks?

What are your ideas?

Playing cards are always great, and so are coloring books/crayons-colored pencils, especially if there are kids or kids at heart involved. I suppose phrase books might not be a bad idea either depending on destination, but personally of the three listed I'd go for cards or coloring books.

Mixed word search book that has not only word searches, but a few other styles of word games and stuff like that. Great for passing the time when you have to sit still for hours.

Phrase books would be something I'd appreciate! And travel-sized shampoos or lotions, I adore these!

Coloring books. Coloring books are always fun and would be super great if they had kids along.

I would go for something small about the destination like a facts book, a travel kit or word games book

I'd say either a fact book or a phrase book.

It depends on who's going on the trip.  If there are kids involved, some sort of activity to keep them busy would be the number one priority:
Travel games(they make travel sizes of many popular games, and they make a lot of travel specific games like "car bingo" as well):

Activity books

If it's all adults, I'd be happy with one or more of the following items:
"Pocket" guide to the location
"Pocket" map - they sell nice laminated maps to many popular locations
Travel clock(I *really* like to have a back-up or two in case my phone decides not to work that day - it's happened)
Small flashlight - surprisingly useful and sorely missed when needed if you don't have one
Deck of cards
Small(pocket sized) puzzle books + pen/automatic pencil
A small plastic poncho for everyone in the group if there's likely to be rain at the location(you can find these for $1 at Target and other places if you look hard enough)
One of those reusable shopping bags that folds up tiny and weighs nothing - like these:

And for the more "exotic" locations, a small toiletry bag that can easily fit in a purse/coat pocket with travel tissues, a roll of travel toilet paper, and some bug itch relief medication.  Yeah, I've been around:p  Travel toilet paper is worth more than gold in some places!

I'd avoid anything large, delicate, and/or heavy.  If you can't fit it in a pocket or a backpack easily, don't go for it!  If there's a lot of train/bus hopping involved, brochures with the time tables would be AMAZING if you can get your hands on them.  I never count on being able to connect to the internet anywhere I go.

My suggestions:

Pocket maps/guides
A small toiletry bag
luggage tags/scale (always useful; it's super easy to go over weight limit.)
Foldable bag

Portable phone chargers are also really helpful.  Target sells cheap ones for $5; Amazon has them for $10.
