Id say you're fine to do it! I think baby North Star with vibrant pink hair would be the most expensive out of the four!
Those ponies usually have frizzy hair, so if you do want one with original hair, keep in mind that you may never find one that doesn't have really frizzy hair. Otherwise, while she's not extremely common, she's not considered rare, either, so you should be fine re-hairing her.
None of ours are frizzy o.o. I guess we got lucky? She wasn't sold in the UK or Europe, but even when someone has one to sell or trade over here they never go for very much, so I guess they're really common o.o. It sounds like a good project for a reroot.
My Baby Sparkle Firefly has a short tail and a mohawk that someone must have given her at one point. The hair seems a little frizzy on mine, but that may be due to the cut. Oops I just realized I have Baby Starflower not Baby Firefly. Ponyfan
