French Knitting, anyone?

My mum taught me how to do this, after many failed attempts at normal knitting.

I have currently got maybe three continuous miles of it rolled up in a giant ball upstairs  I'm seriously thinking of carrying on with it, I understand the current world record is something like 25 miles, heheh.

I worked out, from comments made by the current record holder in interviews,  that he must knit about six feet of knitting every day. I may have some work to do!

Sounds interesting! How long have you been knitting?

This particular knit has been ongoing for about four years, but I learned how to do it at about seven or eight.

I'll get photos of the ball later on. It lives in the spare bedroom upstairs, as my 4yo daughter keeps unwinding it for me - not helpful! I have a length of it stretching downstairs into the lounge, and when I've knitted a few feet, I roll it on to the ball upstairs.

I've not French knitted for years I'm sure I made scarves for my ponies and dolls with French knitting.
