large talking Nightmare Moon - greasy hair
« on: May 04, 2016, 05:46:44 PM »
Has anyone else noticed that their talking NMM (or maybe one of the other big talking ones) has greasy hair? I got her used so I don't exactly know what she's been through in her rather short life thus far, but I am guessing it's coming from the glue used to keep her hair in (like some Barbies and Monster High dolls have).

Have any other G4s had this problem?

I don't have any of the talking Princesses, but a few weeks ago I bought Glamour Glow Rarity, and yes, her hair is very greasy. I haven't got around to doing anything with her hair yet but I've been meaning to.
It is kinda disappointing, when their hair looks so nice and shiny in the box. Then you take them out and .. ick!

Yeah it's nasty. I feel bad for little kids who have to deal with it. I would have been really upset if my toys had gross hair when I was little. :/ Toy manufacturers have been doing things right for so long. It's very disappointing that this issue even exists.

I have the large nightmare moon but her hair hasn't been greasy yet. I bought her new. If anything her hair is silky and kind of fluffy now :)

My talking NM also has silky fluffy hair- it isn't greasy.

BUT I have noticed a lot of variety in the quality of the pony hair this year. The Rarity that came with the little boutique shop has absolutely horrible weird feeling hair. It feels like fakie hair. :(

I haven't had greasy hair on any of my g4's. I have that nightmare moon and so does a friend. Nothing but soft and silky. Unless you get it wet.

Nope, no greasy hair for any of my large talking princess ponies.

The only issue I've had has been lately, with some newer ponies, they just have really rough hair that doesn't like to be styled. :pout:
