adult coloring books?
« on: May 02, 2016, 01:17:50 PM »
I'm looking to buy an adult coloring book as a prize for a party. They seem very expensive though usually around $10 or higher. :( Does anyone know where I could get a cheaper one? I'm hoping to find it for less than $10 if possible.

They have some fun ones at Walmart for around $5.  I like the geometric patterns one myself, but there are probably 10 or so different books to choose from.  At the Walmarts around here, they are usually over by the craft section as opposed to being in the books.  Good luck!

I've seen them at five below too if you have one local, they had half a dozen or so different styles at the one closest to me.

Great thanks! Pokeyonekenobie-I have checked walmart but I saw them near the books and they were all $10 and up. Klein-I didn't think to check five below. We do have one near me so I will check there.

Walmart puts the more expensive ones by the books, probably assuming that people will only check there and buy the more expensive ones instead of the less expensive ones.  I like the cheaper ones not only because they're less expensive but because the pictures are printed only on one side of the paper so I can color with markers and not have to worry about it bleeding through.

They look like this:

They're cheaper online than in the stores, it seems.  I just bought some on Thursday and they were $4.97

I've seen some at my local Dollar store, so if you've got any such stores nearby you should check them out! The one I got had ~20 pages with a picture on each side, so if you wanted them to work with markers like Pokeyonekenobie suggested, then you might be out of luck. Then again, dollar stores don't seem to operate with any rhyme or reason, so who knows what you might find!  :P

Best of luck to you! Hope you find some and that your party goes great!

I second going to the Dollar stores. My local Dollar General has like 5 different ones for $3 each.
