G1 Cotton Candy tan?

Have to also agree with Moondancer. That's just the color Peachy is, and I've had a ton of Peachy's and several were childhood ones. I don't know why I had more than one? All Cotton Candy's I've had were different shades of pink. It's just the pony.

Here's my childhood Cotton Candy.  I think her underlying color looks pretty close to the OP's Cotton Candy.  The OP's CC might still have "tanning" though.

I've seen some eBay sellers claiming that CCs this color are mail orders.  While there may be some mail order CCs this color, it is NOT a surefire way to tell.  My Cotton Candy is a Year 2 storebought pony.   IMO the only way to be 100% certain that a Cotton Candy is mail order is to buy one from someone who was the original owner, or buy one that is mint in bag.  I hope people aren't spending more money than usual on these darker pink Cotton Candys.

Also, I got to wondering if Cherries Jubilee is the same color as Peachy, so I took a comparison picture.  But nope, Cherries Jubilee has more of a pink tone, while Peachy has a kind of yellow undertone.

*nods*  I've seen Cotton Candy in every color from dark vibrant pink, to nearly identical to peachy. I'm going through my photobucket to see if I have any pics that show the variations together.

My Cotton Candy is darker pink too and was also store bought.

I didnt have any of the pinker Peachy ponies, but this gives you an idea of the sheer amount of variations between Cotton Candys and Peachys. I 'm not saying you are incorrect, jist showing you theres so many variations its hard to know for sure which ones are valueable.

I think someone at one point had an army of variant Peachys?

Here's a pic of my childhood one  She's not quite as dark  the picture makes her look but she is a darker pink. I thought all Cotton Candys were supposed to be this color.
