How do you study for subjects you have trouble with?

Break it down into a simpler form and find your own way of understanding something.

If you have a hard time understanding it, maybe draw a picture of what the problem is asking.  If its not that kind of question, focus on smaller parts at a time--and always doublecheck as you go along (my issue with calculus was I was soo rattled out I made stupid mistakes half way though a problem--then again I had medical and stress related issues so that wasn't helping)
