Customizers! Show me your art space?!

Hey y'all!

So I've been meaning to post this for a while (but I get sidetracked easily). But now that I've started customizing I'm finding I have no place to put my customizing supplies. So I'm thinking it's been a long time coming, but it's time for a redesign of my studio, to be exact my art supplies storage. My hair, my paint, and my bait ponies are all over the place.

I'm in need of inspiration. Right now my closet is full of art supplies from school and not stored very well. If anyone has a really functional studio/art supply storage set up I'd love to see it.

Ironically I've spent most of the last week cleaning up what we call the 'craft room' around my place, doing pretty much the same thing (rearranging baits, hair, supplies and the like). I'll see if I can't snap a few pictures later this evening

All of my paints/scuply/brushes/glitter supplies are shoved in to drawers. Extra ponies are in a tote or in a closet. I have too much hair, it's allover in a closet. My "work area" moves around a lot. I usually have a spare picture frame that's about 3'x2.5' that I move around to work on. Odd yes, works for me. I usually move it onto an ottoman as I work on the floor. No table or desk for me. I dare not  take a picture the room is a disaster...

I think messy is subjective. Like it can be good messy where everything is everywhere because you are getting stuff done. I have a habit of doing art and writing in my big comfy living room chair. If I'm at it long enough the space around the chair becomes swallowed up by piles of notes, reference books, sketchbooks, tea cups, soda cans, water bottles, and anything else I was too busy to toss away while working. It all gets cleaned up eventually.

And there is bad messy where you just dump things on your work space to get it out of the way. For example, my husband has a habit of dumping whatever he is carrying when he comes home at night on the dining table. It doesn't matter if it's groceries, tools from work, mail, packages, clothes, it all goes on my dining table. Needless to say I think I may need to find a new place to airbrush since I'm constantly having to clean it off.

Long story short I don't think messy is a bad thing unless it is keeping you from getting what you want done

This was my desk setup at my old apartment. Though to be honest I rarely ever work on ponies at my desk. I generally take my supplies and work sitting on the couch or in bed. Also none of my pony stuff was stored at this desk for pretty much exactly that reason. My baits lived in tubs under my bed, the rest of my pony specific tools were in a box in my closet.

This weekend I got my custom desk built! Unfortunately there were 2 pieces missing from one cube kit so I'm missing a couple of drawers, but hopefully I'll have that fixed soon. Fizzy is there for scale - this desk is 8 feet long. So excite!

NoDivision, that is an awesome space!! I'm jealous of that! 8ft of uninterrupted work space would be a dream come true.

Side note, I was gonna take pictures so you guys could see what I was working with but my tablet died (I was using it as a camera ). So as soon as I find my really old camera, I'll get some pictures up.

I just keep everything in large old amazon boxes and cover my kitchen table in a plastic sheet when I custom
