Minnesota Summer Meet Poll **Please post in new thread for discussion

Date
Although a few months from planning the details, now's as good a time as any to narrow down the date and location of our big summer meet. Talking with some of the past attendees, it sounds like Labor Day Weekend might again be a popular option as it offers Ren Fest and State Fair possibilities, as well as being a longer weekend.

Labor Day is Monday Sept 5th, so weekend options would include either Saturday the 3rd or Sunday the 4th.

Non-labor weekends are also a possibility, either earlier in August or later in September.

Location
Silver Glade hosted last year, ponyqueen the year before last, and Wizzer the year before last before last.    Any preferences where it's hosted this year? Metro or Greater Minnesota? I am able/willing to host, but I will pass the honor to anypony else who is eager!

This is always a fun time! Labor Day weekend for me again if possible.

I agree with dates because I do go to ren fest...2 birds with 1 stone...lol...as for location I am game for anywhere.

I agree with labor day weekend as well. It is a long drive and I like to go to the renfest as well. Plus I have an extra day as well to drive home or see things. I would like to get the date picked out sooner so I can put in the dates at work take off Friday maybe longer. So happy we are talking now. Love for it to be someplace close to the city not hours away.

I would love to come and think that with the state fair/rwn fest being in the metro area, best if it isn't too terribly far away. It's hard to plan out weather that far in advance though I know Shakopee is both muddy and dusty at the same time...Hmmm.
Anyone have some space in mind that is in the metro area?

Metro area is best for me. As for dates, I won't know what's free for me until the month of. Too many variables in my life to predict what weekend I'll have free! lol So just put me down as no preference for dates.

Hmmm, you know my mom said when we got back from your Valentine's party that she'd like to try to host a meet sometime.
Maybe this would be the perfect excuse!


Then again I live an hour or more from the cities so I'm not positive everybody would
want to drive to our place like we always drive up there.

Wow, still that is so cool of your Mom to even consider it! She really is a wonderful woman. Wherever the meet is, I look forward to seeing her again!

I'm happy no matter where it is, I'm open to hosting but about 2 hours south of the big city.

I also like the weekend of Labor Day, and am good with either day.

Lol funny aurora. I keep looking at it. ya it doesn't matter to me sat or sunday or where as long as close to the city. Yeah it looks like labor day weekend is winning. Love to hear from other pony people as well

Thanks for bumping! With over 200 views, I think we're ready to add a poll! I'll have it up soon, but with seemingly no one against labor day weekend, the only options will be Sat or Sun of that weekend. 

And sounds like the general consensus for location is within the cities and metro suburbs?
