Surprise Basement Pony

I found this beauty in the basement of my house today

A little background, I never had ponies of my own growing up. I was too young for g1, and never got into g2/3s. But I loved the g1's that I played with at my babysitter's house.

A few years ago, my mom died from Breast Cancer and it was really hard on everyone. My brother and I continued to live in the house for school/college, but eventually we were forced to sell. As you probably can imagine, packing up the house today was pretty tough. Going through all these memories and stuff belong to my mom was really hard. I had put it off for a long time. I was going through a big bin of papers and stuff feeling just really upset and overwhelmed, when I found this pony hidden in a box. My mom was a big thrift store enthusiast (I probably get that from her) and she must have found this pony one day. She was probably planning to surprise me with it before she got sick. I just saw it, and teared up.

I don't know how I managed to miss her all these years, but it's funny, I feel like finding her today was fate or something? It such a small thing, but it really means a lot to me

What a heart-warming, yet sad story. She does look beautiful, though! And she'll be all the more special, too! It's funny, because Boysenberry Pie is a pony that particularly reminds me of my own mom.

Oh wow. That's probably the best brag post of the whole of this year, and it's only February. That's gonna take some beating. It's also like your mother is still with you, watching you, supporting you and giving you a moment to remember how much she loved you. So awesome. So so awesome.

I have a similar kind of bond to Rainbow Magic (RC Ringlet) because she was bought for me to cheer me up when my mother was really ill. I chose her because her story said she granted wishes.

I know your mother would be so happy that you found the pony she hid for you eventually
