Perfume Puff Re-Hairs

I've seen some photos of these that look really pretty.  What are folks using for the poofy hair?

I think most people use combed acrylic yarn, from what I've seen.  There are some good tutorials over in 'customs'.

I've only made one, but I followed this tutorial by monsternomnom http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,357506.0.html

Several people use yarn that they tease out.

I use the roving wool that you'd use for needle felting :) some people use knitting yarn and then brush it out.

I've used yarn, but it has to be a really soft, fairly loose type of yarn.

You know that stuff that you see the girls put in their hair on the brady bunch? That's what I used... what's the technical name for that type of yarn, I don't know...LOL

Honestly it wasn't fun doing this type of re-hair...

I've used yarn for this as well. I brush it out with a pet hair brush (if that makes sense).

So read that as Baby Fluff-fly.

I need to go to bed :)

They do look pretty with poofy hair though. Hasbro really needed to do more of those...

Huh, oh man. I was hip before this was a thing. I had a baby gusty from a yardale. BBE. I lost her tail! I think one of my bullies may have stolen it. my grandmother knitted a lot and did these pictures with yarn too. I got an exact colour match from her closet of yarn and made a tail and brushed it out with our wire cat brush. I was upset it was so poofy, but at least she wasn't naked in my 5yo kid mind. If yarn is still the same it shouldn't be difficult at all. :)
