Cleaning question
« on: February 21, 2016, 05:53:27 AM »
Hi folks!

I've heard of the Oxi/Vanish in boiling water (and a toothbrush!) method for cleaning my G1's but how is this method on Ponies with glitter symbols? Does it cause any damage?

I need to spruce up my Honeycomb! :)

Yes, it causes glitter loss. I'd definitely opt for a regular hand scrub with soap and an magic eraser for tougher spots.

I  magic eraser! But be gentle over symbols, eyes and blush- it will take them down with pressure.

Agreed, always be careful around symbols, especially glitter ones!

Oh yeah, don't rub those things at all!  :P  I clean around and between glitter with a q-tip!

Thanks guys.

She's not in terrible condition so I was in two minds about dunking her in Oxi in the first place. Just going for the simple soap, water & conditioner method I think this time.
