Styling the g4 ribbon brushables?

My dad was in Greece and got me the ribbon Pinkie Pie and Rarity since he liked them a lot. They're pretty cute, I don't think they made it to Norway anyway and the ribbons are pretty cool. However I'm not sure how I want to go about styling their hair.

How have you dealt with the ribbon in the hair when you've styled them? I'd love to see pics

I still can't figure anything out.

I just straightened their hair with hot water and combed it over on the non display side, and let the ribbon hang down beside it. Simple and easy

I have heard of people intentionally fraying the ribbon so that it behaves like hair.

that is one way to do it, though frayed ribbon doesn't brush like doll hair.. I should know I've made a few ponies with frayed ribbon hair
