I've brushed my ponies hair more as an adult than I ever did as a kid. It wasn't what drew me into MLP then. I've always been more attracted by the fantasy adventure aspect than being able to comb and style my toys hair.

EXACTLY my thoughts! As a kid (and even at the beginning of my collector days) I hated the brushable hair, since it got messed up every time you so much as looked at the pony the wrong way, and got visibly dirty after play. This was the main reason my childhood pony phase was so brief, and I was more than happy to donate my ponies and go back to LPS. I would have been all over these as a kid, and depending on where they take the line, I'll be all over them now!

I hope they don't discontinue the FiM Collection, though. That's one of my favorite lines in the brand, however small

Really wish these were around when I was a kid - I loved articulated toys of any kind, ponies were often a bit 'stiff' for me. I love the really dynamic look of these, certainly something I'll be looking into. Especially Nightmare Moon, she looks great!

Looks like we are finally going to be getting some boys in this line!! Shining Armor, Soarin and a Changeling if her counts!? To me the Shining Armor looks very similar to his brushable release, now just articulated so these should be to scale with the original singles.

I think Celestia's face is pretty weird looking, but if she comes packaged with Nightmare Moon of COURSE I'll get her.

I will say I am impressed with this line.  I also love that it isn't trying to push gender stereotypes... and is marketed at kids rather than little girls or boys.

Looks like Celestia and Nightmare Moon are packaged separately, according to an image I saw on MLP Merch. Also Twilight comes with the changeling, but I'd much prefer just a pack of changelings!

I love the marketing for this too. Seeing a picture of a boy and a girl playing with the same toy is pretty awesome, imo. A+ Hasbro for marketing!

You have to love Chrysalis' random armpit swords.

And in the comic.  Chrysalis so needs to scream "THIS, I COMMAND!" all the time.

Pretty sure that Celestia image is a CGI mock-up. There's no seams and it looks a little too 'clean' to be real plastic. Makes me wonder how it will actually look when it's revealed. The rest of them look real though.

Chrysalis with bug armor and wheels on her feet and knives strapped to her legs is the weirdest official MLP merch I think I've ever seen. o_0 Maybe it will have to do with the new comic.

Now that I look closer, I think you're right about it being CGI.

Looking at the image on the first page, I think her tail is comprised of two pieces of plastic with a ball joint.

So my theory is that you can either have her supported by her tail, or swing her tail behind her and have her stand on jointed legs.  (I'm guessing hip and shoulder joints.)  Maybe another point of articulation at the base of her neck, G2 style, to swing the whole thing so she can either look forward or back?
