On Serebii.net it mentiones being able to get Whitneys Miltank for ORAS this month. But anyone have any idea how?

it says you need a serial code and then this: "Pokémon ORAS - Johto Classic Entry Distribution Gift"

Thanks so much True and Aitsuki. Vivillion would indeed be a good choice (plus bug type!) but if I went for it I'd have to consider the pattern too, maybe the Pokeball one... Furfrou and Carbink also sound like neat ideas, though I honestly forgot Carbink existed. I'm embarrassed I didn't think of Ralts for Hoenn, especially since it is Wally's starter. Shinx and Fletchling were Pokemon I considered too, but thought they would be biased because both were my 'starters' for their respective regions. I'll consider them a little more now.

Lol, I'm glad I'm not the only one stumped on the Manaphy vs Shaymin thing. Though, I think I've decided to stick with Manaphy because of my personal association. I went to Japan the summer before DP was coming out and the Manaphy movie was in theaters. This was when I wasn't super interested in Pokemon past gen 2, I had Emerald at that point, but felt overall meh. That being my first taste of gen 4, Manaphy stood out to me before I even knew about Shaymin. Makes me think of going with Buizel as well since it was promoted in the movie too. 

True: you need to participate in the battle competition thing to get the Miltank code. I have no idea how to enter though.

Speaking of Wally and Ralts... I got my Manaphy TCG box today and this stinkin cute trainer card was in one of my boosters!

Manaphy has always been my favorite of the fairy-like small legendaries/mythicals. See, I got my manaphies the original way; finding the egg through an event in the Pokemon Ranger games!! In those games, you find and nurture the egg for a while until it's time to transfer it to a main series game.... so each of those manaphy was cared for! The egg was so beautiful, and it made me so excited to hatch it... Plus, Phione is adorable.

Ah, that is a cute card. I don't collect the TCG myself, but I really want the Charmander line cards from that set; not only is it adorable with showing them growing up together, the prose on the card makes me feel sappy. I also want the Tepig set that was similar where it was evolving with the family. I find it uncanny that my childhood favourite and current favourite starters are both featured this way. I wonder how much they're going for (anyone have spares)...

I didn't realize Pokemon was showing it on their website. I just watched it last night on Youtube after posting about it. Haha. I'm not crazy about the movie itself, but Manaphy is so adorable! "Happy!" I need to watch the one with Shaymin next.

That's awesome Aitsuki, I never ended up getting Ranger myself, though I wanted it, so I had to go down the route of getting one traded to me. I wish I could pick up a game now and get one myself, but one Manaphy per cart makes that near impossible when buying secondhand. In terms of my favourite tiny/cute mythical, I think I'm still partial to Mew with Celebi only a decimal point behind. I guess they feel so special to me because they were part of a time where you couldn't trade around the world and get any Pokemon you desired effortlessly. They were impossibly rare to get (before the glitches were discovered). When I finally obtained my Mew in Blue, it was one of the most exciting moments in my Pokemon career.

Yeah, I love my Manaphy. But you know what I DON'T love??? People in ORAS who make it impossible to access their flags in the bases.    Seriously, it is STUPID and mean spirited.

Yaaaaaay so my preorder from TRU arrived today! Im so happy to have gotten the manaphy plush and figure! Now all I need to the Pokemon center pokedoll and pin set! The pokedoll has been on their website at LEAST a year because I thought about ordering it last year when husband and I went on a romantic vacation on an island in Florida, so I am lucky I can just wait on him. Maybe this year! Manaphy is probably my FAVORITE event Pokemon, I just love his design after a sea angel- one of my favorite creatures not to many people know about. Picture time!!!
