Pokemon 20th Anniversary! Get Meloetta Via Nintendo Network

I was at IN Comic Con this weekend. The convention center is connected to the mall by a "hamster tube". After the con on Sun Wildshadow and I walked over to the mall and went to Game Stop. So much easier than Mew! The nearest Game Stop for me is half an hour away.

I managed to get a Darkrai card today.  I still won't get my 2ds till the end of the month which I'm seriously looking forward to.  I finally decided that I'll go ahead and get Pokemon X and just save Alpha Sapphire for later.  Is anyone else bypassing merch and just going for in game Pokemon?
I've only ever been interested in a handful of Pokemon for the sake of having plushies and none are legendaries.

LadyBastilla, is it okay if I pm you after I've gotten it so we can work out the trade for Jirachi?

I'm only getting the in-game pokemon.   I don't currently have the space to start a new collection so I've been avoiding even looking at the merch for fear of wanting some of it.

Me too gothicsugar. I just got back into pokemon for the anniversary, and I have neither the money or space for merch. Some of the cards are tempting though...So...I got tried out the online trading card game instead

BTW there is a new wifi Downloadable Event on the Nintendo Network going on North America and Europe, it's Zygarde. Not sure how long its out for but its for a ll xy and oras games. Got mine last night

I was originally just getting the in game pokemon, and the pokeball figures (i love how shiney/pearly they all look) with the exception of hopefully getting the shaymin plush when it comes around. But then I started getting the TCG pin boxes.

GOOD NEWS! I finally got Jirachi box! xD I found it at GS, they had the Darkrai box too, but I could only afford one, Hopefully I dont run into the same problem. Im still finding TONS of mew boxes and the occasional celebi, something tells me that these later boxes might be getting more rare. D: at least in the sense, it seems more people want them lol.

Got my Darkrai codes today, and my plush. He's so cute and cuddly, even if he looks more silver than black to me. Excited for the other legendaries too!

BF & I got our copies of Darkrai tonight. He picked them up on his way home from work.

As for whether I'm purely doing the digital characters or buying any merch, the only merch I know I want for sure is the Shaymin stuff that will be coming out. I need a shaymin plushie in my life.

I thought the same about darkrai being more grey/silver than black, but I guess that's just the effect of most of these pokemon. They all seem somewhat "muted" i guess they want them to look similar to their "pearly" figure counterparts? they definitely make them stand out from average poke merch. It will be very easy to look at them years down the road and just KNOW those were the 20th anniversary items because of their unique coloring. ^-^

Im wondering if people want me to add other events to the OP? like the zygarde currently happening? or Should I just stick to just anniversary stuff? I know iv mentioned others in the thread as iv heard of them, but maybe more people would see them in the main thread? Ill put them up for now.

Also do threads lock if they get too many posts? Id really like to keep updating this post :p

Yay, got the Darkrai code yesterday <3 and bought my very first set of Pokemon cards (that fancy Gyarados box <3, will post a pic later).
They didnt have any Darkrai merch at GameStop (as expected *sigh*).

Congrats to you all who got the Darkrai plush <3 I saw a pic of it and liked it, its really cute

The Darkrai plush is available on GameStop's website right now.

Becaue the Jirachi figure never made it to this area (not sure why), I'm not as inclined to collect the other figures anymore. Unless someone has an extra to sell, otherwise I'm not paying those eBay prices for a tiny figure. It's cool though, that's less money to spend if I just stick to the pins, cards, and plushies.

Does anyone have an extra Darkrai code? My son wants one and our GameStop is only allowing one per person because they ran out of the Mew codes so fast. And my son can't go himself because he's away at school.

I do ShortyBoo, but it will have to wait till later as I am going to work soon. My GameStop says they got a lot in this time.

Also for those who have a Pokémon news letter account on pokemon.com they just released the legendary trio bird codes!
