Not very hard to find, but somewhat rare.

I find a lot of the FFs (especially Minty) are difficult to find in top condition.  They're very prone to pindot and leached plasticiser/being sticky-- moreso then the concaves, I feel.  The prices seem to be up at the moment from what they were a few years ago, too.  Also, sometimes it's a case of 'the watched pot never boils', as soon as you're specifically looking for something they're nowhere to be found!

The collectors pose ponies had an initial release with their flat feet in the first year; they were quickly replaced with their concave feet version (due to the flat footed versions tendency to head butt the floor :) )

They are not really all that rare - they are simply harder to find that their concave foot versions. Because they are the first release of MLP, they are also sought after. But one ebay search and you will normally find a couple for sale at any given time (right now there are 6 available on US ebay alone). So perhaps a little harder to find but not rare.

Congrats on your new addition - Butterscotch is one of my all time favourite ponies.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

I've come across several FF Butterscotches, but I have never, ever found one that did not have age spots, leaking plasticizer, etc.  Even the nicest ones I've seen have all have at least some brown marks.  I have seen many nice CFs, though.
