They are lovely - I like how colourful and cheerful they are. If I was you I would just protect the ponies feet and hair from the paper/fabric they are standing on; its worrying how quickly the dyes can stain. You should keep a running thread and update it with your progress...that way people will be able to see how you have got on since starting.

Thats ok, already have a plan-strips of plexiglass. Call me MacGyver!
