My first ponies of 2016!

Went pony hunting this weekend, and had a little bit of luck - yesterday I found Medley, Glory, and one of those little seated baby Tara fakies. I already have Medley, though, so this one is going to my sister.  Now that I have Glory, I only need Sunbeam to complete the Year 2 Unicorn & Pegasus ponies.

Then today, I found a plush Blossom for $1! She will need a surface clean, but she doesn't have any kind of weird smoke or pet smell, so that's good. I was never really interested in the G1 plush, but now that I have seen one in person and realized how cute they actually are...I might need all of them, lol. Oops.

Thanks, everyone! I still can't believe my luck with these girls - their symbols are basically perfect, and Glory is so white still! They smell a bit on the musty side, but nothing some baking soda, fresh air, and a good clean can't help.

Definitely a good way to start the year! May Epona bless us all with good pony luck in 2016!

How cool that you found G1s in the wild!!  I had a lot of trouble finding a nice condition Sunbeam but they are out there so I'm sure you will find a lovely girl to complete your set in time

Thanks! I don't worry too much about if my ponies are in minty condition, haha - I feel like when I get around finally to tidying them up, it will be nice to bond a while one-on-one with each of them, and it'll be fun to try restoring anyone who needs a bit of extra TLC. Plus, if there's anything I can't quite fix myself, I don't mind TOO much if they're left with some quirks; I like thinking about how their childhood owners may have played with them, and I make up stories about how they got their "battle scars"

I was really taken with her the moment I saw her face poking out of a tub of plush! I'm such a crazy, whenever I see something like this, especially in such nice condition for its age, I am basically standing around trying way too hard not to show how excited I am. I'm paranoid that if I seem to excited when I ask a price, that they'll know they have something special and increase the price to way more than what its actual collector value might even be >< Anyway, Blossom rode on my lap the whole way home, the better to cuddle her 

She has a teensy scratch between two eyelashes on her right eye (you have to be REALLY looking in order to see it in my photo), but the other eye is perfection. She only has a few slightly grubby spots on her body, but nothing major. I'm afraid to put her in the washing machine, as her tag says "surface washable only" and our dryer doesn't work, lol, so she'd probably take ages to dry completely. I have some bath wipes for my cats, though, so I wonder if something like that might work alright to give her a rub down with? I also have the OxiClean spray, but I'm unsure whether that might discolor her at all...
