How Old Were You When Your Favorite Pony Was Released

We have a thread about the favorite pony of your birth year, so let's reverse that a bit here.

You have a favorite pony (or perhaps several).  How old were you when that pony first hit shelves.  For the purposes of this, we are going with the first release globally, and variants/nirvana are considered the same pony (though you can state if you have a favorite version).  Ponies that are name recycles are considered different ponies (like unicorn Twilight and SS pegasus Twilight), just specify.

If you want to list more than one, feel free within reason.

As for me, I was a grand total of 1 when Wind Whistler came out.  Though, her "Movie Star" version is my favorite and came out a year or two later.

Baby Squirmy would have come out on shelves by 1988, but I definitely would have been only buying secondhand G1s by that point so... yeah...

I was about -4 years old when Steamer came out.  I was born in 1990 and he was released in 1986 I think.

I would have been 2. Barnacle was released in 1987/88. Didn't actually own him until I was in my 20s

Moondancer came out in '83, so I would have been 6.

Wind Whistler was released in 1985/1986.  So I would've been two or three.

Bluebelle came out for Christmas 1982, so I would have been 2 1/2.   I never got a Bluebelle as a kid, and my first Bluebelle was one of the white ones!

G4 Pinkie Pie was released around the same time FiM first premiered in Oct 2010, so I would have been 19.

I was 6 when Sunbeam and Seashell were released. I'm not actually sure which G1 is my favorite since I like so many of them.

However, I was 26 when Sunny Daze was released and she's my favorite G3, no doubt.

Fluttershy is my favourite pony so here's how old I was with each incarnation:

G1 Posey -> -7 (I wasn't even born yet )
G3 Fluttershy -> 11 (I wasn't into My Little Pony yet)
G4 Fluttershy -> 18 (I got my first ponies, a G4 Rarity and a G4 Fluttershy when I was 20. I mainly got interested in them after I watched the show, then I became a fan of collecting the ponies more than I was a fan of the show itself )

I think I was about 9-10 when So soft Surprise and baby surprise came out. Those were some fond memories playing with them.

All of my favourite G1s were released before my time, so as for ponies that were released in my lifetime...
The mini MacDonalds version of Princess Silver Swirl came out when I was 8 and in regard to G3s, Cloud Climber and Desert Palm were both released when I was 14.

I only go by the years ponies were released in my childhood here in the UK. I have three favourite years...
1986 had Snowflake and Gypsy, as well as the first Twinkle Eyes here.
1987 had 2nd set flutters, Mountain Boys, Princesses with Dragons and Newborn Twins. It also had Magic Star, who I was obsessed with as a kid.
1988 had Party Ponies
In global terms, both my pony namesake, Taffeta, and Mimic, who I love a lot too, were released in 1988 and 1987, coincidentally

My favorites are and will always be the original Snuzzle and Minty, though there are many others that I adore, so I think I would've been between 4 and 5 when they came out and when I got them. (still have them too and love them as much as the first day I got them)

My favourite pony is Fizzy, she was released in year four 1985/1986 and I was about 4 years old then. Well, Im Germany she hit stores in 1987 and I first saw her when I was five
My other favourites, or better to say my favourite ponies as a kid that I owned (I never owned Fizzy as a kid), were Sugar Sweet and Sugar Apple, they were released in 1988/1989 and I bet it was around  the end of 1989 when they reached Germany. I was almost 8 then.
