What exactly are 'Dolly Mix' ponies?

I've been seeing Dolly Mix ponies but I'm wondering where they were bought and what they are? They look like g3 ponies but are g1 characters? They look pretty cool.

Sold in the UK. They were packaged as candy.

I really like Dollymix ponies, but I only have a few. For their tiny size they look really nice.

I'm equal parts happy and sad they didn't do Princess Serena. She'd be cute, but then I'd have to track her down. However, I would love to own that little Gusty and Mainsail.

Yes, the giant pony is G3 Fashion Styling Rainbow Dash.  The G3 Fashion Styling ponies are massive.
