POTD 11/30/2015 Majesty

I like her. She's simple and classic.

A pony from my childhood! DC was my first building, I think I was almost five. My Majesty was the slightly mad and deranged queen of ponyland, whose messes had to be fixed by her long-suffering eldest daughter, Princess Sapphire xD. My Majesty is sadly not the prettiest, her hair is lank and she shows some wear and tear now. I have a beautiful upgrade but obviously the upgrade doesn't supersede mad Queen Maj in my collection.

Sister also has the Chinese made one, which she is very proud of.

I would like Re Unicorno, but not at the current price

So I still can't help but say "he" when I refer to him. I also now have Spike and a custom Baby Majesty made by PKW. Beautiful!!

Have her, though agree, so hard to find a mint one!  I'm only vaguely aware of the mail order one being different... must educate myself 

Lol, I remember seeing the Quest of the Princess Ponies and wondering why there were 6 princesses but no queen.  Wasn't for a few years until Dream Valley and the internet that I realised there was a queen, with a castle no less!

Have her!  My DC version is NASTY but has the strongest "new pony" smell you could imagine.  That's the only reason I keep her!  My MO one is really nice, and really bright white.

How rare is the China marked version, Taffeta?

Hehehe.. Aw. North Star, Masquerade and Magic Star and still boys to me.. 

Magic Star is a boy for me, too!!  So are Moonstone, Medley, and Sunlight (or the Sunrise/Sunset twins, as I named my matching pair).    One of my two Skydancers has a cut mane (given to me by a friend), so that one became a boy, although my other Skydancer is still a girl.  My tailless Majesty (another gift from a friend) also became a boy, and therefore, the king of my Ponyland, while my other Majesty remained a girl and queen.

Honestly, unsure. Naynie picked her up at a carboot sale when she was a kid, but I don't think she got a lot of sale here. She seems to have come from later castle releases in some parts of Europe, so I guess it depends on the country? I think a lot of the time people don't look at the hooves to check though...no idea if the MO one is HK or China, either.

The China feet are also the weirdest China print I've seen. Clearly a mould smoothed over and then redone. (Are there any other unicorns in that pose made in China?)

We never saw another one here. I think Naynie's travelled from Europe, probably. She's definitely seen some life, as she's not in the best shape (not a consequence in her case of living with my sister )

Is it the one farthest to the right, with the hair close to her horn?

Go to the one to the left of her... Check out those eyes, all ponies have them, but she's missing them... LOL.
