Tell me about Greek babies.
« on: November 23, 2015, 10:00:10 AM »
I have long been a fan of Peachy. I have a small Nirvana collection, and my original Peachy is one I've had since childhood. Pink Baby Ember was always her baby, but I've always thought that she needs a proper baby, and the only two that I know of are Argentina and Greek. I don't much care for Fancy Pants babies, so that means I've finally convinced myself that I need a Greek Baby Peachy.

I'm also partial to the ice blue shade of hair on one version of Greek Baby Blue Belle, which so far as I know was not used on any other pony besides her adult Greek mommy. So if I ever came across her at a time when I could afford her, I might have to get her too. Of course I'd love to have the whole set of babies, but that green haired Minty and some of the other, rarer ones are not within the realm of possibility for me right now.

So, since I don't know a lot about collecting Greeks besides their symbols bleed, and since I am procrastinating studying geometry for the GRE (seriously though, do you know how long it's been since I've had to care about geometry?  :what: ) tell me about Greek baby ponies for beginners. PC, what to look for, common problems, what to avoid... I appreciate any tips you can give me.

Well you're in luck, Baby Peachy I find is on the cheaper end for Greek babies. Her symbols do bleed but you can usually still see faint hearts that can't really get picked up on the camera. My Greek Baby Peachy's symbols have faded away but the hearts are still visible (if you know what I mean lol)

As for the ice blue hair. 3 Greek ponies were made with it, Bluebelle, Baby Bluebelle and Baby Medley. There's 2 versions for CP Bluebelle (one has the ice blue hair), 2 versions of Baby Bluebelle and 3 versions of Baby Medley. Out of the 3 Baby Medley is the most expensive, CP Bluebelle is the cheapest. It's such a pretty colour, I wish they used it more.

The best way to afford Greeks is to find a seller who will take payments. Because of a few awesome sellers I've been able to buy ponies I used to only dream of!!

I think Lady Starflower has covered it all!

The ice blue was also used on G3 pony Giggle Bean ^.^

Baby Peachy $60-120 depending on her symbols
Baby Bluebell $150 or so

I hope this helps :)

Thank you both! That is so helpful. And definitely more interesting than studying.  :work: With that price range, Baby Peachy is definitely towards the top of my list of nirvana babies. Now I'll just wait for a nice one to pop up somewhere.
