I moved about a month ago, and around that time, I ordered a pony from a seller on Etsy. Unfortunately, I was staying at my parents' house while my things were being moved into my new place, and since I didn't have the key to my new mailbox yet, I asked for the package to be sent to my parents' address.
Unfortunately, for some reason the post office put a sticker inside my parents' mailbox stating that all mail addressed to me was to be forwarded, but apparently there was no indication of where it was supposed to be forwarded, so the package ended up getting returned to the seller. (This problem has been resolved now.)
However, not only has the seller failed to respond to any of my messages (either via Etsy's message system or by email), but he/she seems to have closed his/her shop (I get a "page not found" error whenever I click on the shop's name). I've contacted the post office (they said there's nothing they could do) and Etsy (they keep saying that I should get in touch with the seller, even though I've mentioned multiple times that the seller hasn't responded to me).
Is there anything I can do about this, or should I just give up at this point?
