Korean dramas and movies?
« on: November 04, 2015, 11:10:58 PM »
So I recently finished watching my first Korean drama, "Flower Boy Next Door." It was reeeeaaally good! My family watched it with me, too, and liked it. ^.^ I found the acting really good and the storyline really funny. I love romantic comedies. Prior to that, I'd seen a few Korean movies (The Classic, Innocent Steps, The Way Home, Do You Like Spring Bear; now I've also watched The Cyrano Agency), but am not too familiar with most Korean live action stuff. In the past I've mostly watched anime and Japanese live action movies. So, does anyone have any Korean drama or movie recommendations? Any shows or movies they particularly love? I'd love to hear about what you guys watch.

even though i'm not the biggest fan of dramas, i truly enjoyed watching 각시탈 ("bridal mask"). i love korean variety shows though: all time favorite - 런닝맨 ("running man"), 1박2일 ("2 days 1 night") or 무한도전 ("infinity challenge"). you can easily find episodes with english subs on sites like kengsub or allkshow

Boys Over Flowers is good!  I was watching it on Crunchyroll, but it seems to have disappeared from there.  :(

I have watched some of these. They are really good.

49 days.  Loved this one.  Didn't see the ending coming but omg it was good.  Out of all the ones I watched this is my favorite.

Cheongdamdong Alice. Cute and dramatic. Very fun story. This one got me hooked on Korean dramas (was the first one I watched).

Fated to love you.  Very quirky.  It seemed to get off track a little part of the way toward the end but it was very satisfying ending anyway.

My princess.  Still watching this one.  Not as good as the others I watched so far but seems decent.
