I had that cup as a kid! I think I still have it somewhere. I used to have my hot chocolate in it

It being made in Staffs suggests its a UK release cup and possibly isn't international. I don't know though. The Potteries (an area very famous for ceramics etc) are in Stoke on Trent which is Staffordshire.

I was quite young when I had it,about 4, so I'm not sure if there are others but I am not aware of them. I know there are later plastic ones which might be Bluebird with the Party Ponies on, as my sister and I both had one of those each - but in terms of the ceramic, that's the only one I remember seeing.

I have a ceramic coffee cup in a different style.  I don't remember if it's from the UK or not, but it had Posey and Bow-Tie on it.

I've seen another one just like this but with a yellow background instead of white. No idea if any other colors were made though.

Roogna has an amazing collection of MLP cups/mugs, so she might have more information about them.

I'm no expert but the artwork on LM's cup makes me think it probably isn't anything to do with the UK. It doesn't resemble any style of art in the UK I'm familiar with from 1980s merchandise. But I could be wrong.

I have that one and the one with Posey that LM has- though that one is not UK it was released by Extra Special.  So US.

I have two other patterns with the rainbow rim - though one is different from the others -two of them have the same two ponies repeating around the mug

where the other has three different baby ponies around the mug - it's also the one I won in the auction at the MLP fair from Susanne Riette-Keith collection - though I never did get my certificate...

Also interesting note - Baby Surprise is yellow...

There's another one very similar to the first that has the same image, but in grey. Seems less common than the white one (but also less pretty!). Don't think there are any other patterns in that particular set.

As Lady G says, thats the only design from Kiln. They did a stack of mugs in the 80s featuring popular kids shows - Fraggle Rock, TMNT, etc. I believe it was part of that wider range rather than a line of just MLP

Hm. Now having this feeling I also had the fraggles one. I certainly had A fraggles cup. I wonder where that went...
