I came across some beautiful vintage cards. How do others feel about mid century American greeting cards imagery and aesthetics?

Personally, I'm pretty much open to whatever everyone sends. Part of the allure of getting cards from people like this is that the variety of styles chosen should be much broader than just getting stuff from immediate family.

I love all kinds of different cards, that's probably the most fun part about this swap!

As for whats on the inside, I try to go with some type of genuine yet not overly specific holiday greeting of well wishes ect. Unless its a partner I perhaps know a bit better and can add a more personal message.

That would be lovley.

I got three cards today! They were just perfect and I couldn't pass them up. Hopefully the stores will get more cards later so I can find the other two. :)

I could have sworn I posted this already, but apparently not. Sorry partners!

Favorite Color(s)? Anything bright and cheerful! Also love things sparkly or shiny!

Favorite Animal(s)? Cats, reindeer, gerbils, chickens, hummingbirds, foxes, pretty much any actually :)

Favorite MLP? Any of the original G1 mane 6 (Cotton Candy, Snuzzle, etc), G1 Rainbow ponies, G1 baby ponies, Twinkle Eye ponies, G3 winter/holiday ponies, G4 Apple Jack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie

Other tidbits of information? I will love anything you send me! :D I love seeing what other people pick out and send!

Your winter holiday? Christmas!

I don't think there is any special regulation for stuff sent to the US, but you will probably have to pay more (our post office here would count that as a package not a letter if it's bulky). I've received food stuffs in packages internationally before, so I'm assuming it would be the same if you were to slip something in a card. Unless someone else knows different?

As far as I know incoming candy is fine into the UK!

Vintage cards sound awesome! I think I will just write a simple greeting for the season in my cards. I don't think there are any rules for sending candy to Canada. I have made three of my five cards so far! I hope to be done by the end of the week!

All of my cards are made and ordered. I did digital art and then used Shutterfly. They'll send them to me and then I'll be able to ship them out when it's time. :) That was a long two days, but so worth it (and so fun! I love doing art when I know someone will see it.). They have a new type of card out that I was totally thrilled about and they're having one of their sales, so I couldn't resist. :D The wait is gonna be bad, though. I want to see how they turned out! :frolic:

Oh wow, what a great idea! Maybe next year...
I bought winter landscape cards so that I can custom sticker decorate the foreground for each partner.

Just posting a reminder that this is a CARD swap - the point is to send and receive cards. Any extras are not connected to this swap at all, and are in no way a requirement or expectation.
