Pokemon? (Alpha Sapphire)

So, I know that for most people this game is probably old news.  But I just finally broke down and got it today.  It's all new to me!

I was hoping to trade for a pokemon with the pokerus.  But it's been so long since I have played I don't remember how to trade.  I am guessing I need my friend code?  Where do I find that? 

Any tips for a Sapphire newbie? 

I used to go all out and buy the game guide.  I am not planning to do so this time.  I might mess up, but I don't want to get to where playing feels like work. (Too much strategy! Lol)  Doing this just to relax this time!

Do you have a new DS? Other than the one you play the AC game from your siggy on? Cuz that's your friend code. Otherwise go to the square smiley face at the top of your home screen. The code is there.

No, but I wasn't sure if the friend code was game specific.  Like one for X/Y and a different one for Sapphire.

I've been busy, and broke, a lot lately.    But I hoping to have time to play more this winter.

Yep, still need to get Sapphire or Ruby too. Pokemon goes better if you know others are playing.

Ok, question time!

I have spread the pokerus to several pokemon, putting a few in the PC.  Yay!

But, I caught a Skitty the other day and I wanted to spread it to this one also.  My main party pokemon are no longer infectious, but that is ok, I have the ones in the PC box.

However, when I took an infected pokemon, the Skitty, and a couple other non-infected pokes.. I can't get it to spread..!

I had 2 of my 'recovered' pokes in the first 2 spots in my party.  Then a non-infected, then the pokerus carrier, then the skitty, then one other non-infected.

I battled several times, and it would not spread.   
Does the pokemon type matter (water, fire, normal, etc.)? 

Or do I just need to keep trying?

Keeping trying. I know when I was trying to put PokeRus on a few pokemon before I WonderTraded them, it took a lot of random battles to get a few of them to get infected.

You could try removing the two recovered Pokemon from your party temporarily and see if that makes things faster. And maybe put the "carrier" pokemon in the first or second slot (as long as it's right next to Skitty).

I'll just try again then!  Good to know that the 'type' doesn't matter.  For some reason I thought it did.  *oops*  lol!
