Gold tinsel that's tinsel, not thread, and not holographic?

My poor hairless Sunspot...  I've been looking for ages, and I just can't find any.  It has to exist somewhere.

I've heard people talk about embroidery thread, but isn't that, you know, thread?  As opposed to the type of real flat tinsel that came in pony hair?  (I've never used embroidery thread so tell me if I'm wrong there )

Lots of fly-fishing suppliers have the holo rainbow-effect tinsel and to me it looks really tacky, not the effect I'm going for.

(Need somewhere that posts overseas, as well.)

I believe there is a website.company called retrodolls they sell a flat tinsel like the one in pony hair. I don't know if they do international shipping though.

The SULKY brand has tinsel thread is the flat kind of tinsel and it looks pretty much the same as original g1 tinsel. Plus it comes in lots of colors too. Both Holographic and just shiny tinsel.
The brand does also have an embroidery thread too where it's like a thread wrapped in sparkly threads or woven with it and it is a round shape but I haven't bought that kind.
My local fabric/craft store carries sulky so I could check out the colors they have there for you if you want and compare the pony to the different golds to see what is closest to her original color. Not sure if they will have all the different golds in stock but I can try  but i can't go there til Saturday.
