Not just one braid...
« on: October 16, 2015, 05:22:52 PM »
Other than removing the purple saddle that she'd been wearing for more than a dozen years, this is how my Posey looked straight out of the storage box.

See that tail braid?  It's actually three braids braided into one:  a regular three-strand, an uneven three-strand, and a four-strand.  So she really had four braids in her tail.

Who else did hairstyles like that?  :)

(And she had a French braid in her mane...)

:squee: I did! I did! I even would make tiny braids to braid into bigger braids to make into one big braid. Braid-ception indeed.  ^.^
Creatively cute and proud of it!  Have a very good day, [you]!  ^.^

I had my mom braid my Lulabelle when I first dug her up out of storage, and now her hair is permanently unruly >.> but I myself can't braid hair, so she was the only one.

I did!  I had one fakie (who may still be around) whose hair was always braided into three or four small braids and then braided together!

It was pretty wild when I took it out!!   ^.^  Combing it out with hot water and conditioner straightened it, though.  I had to pull her tail out because of a rusty washer, but I got all the discoloration out of the hair.  :)

Posey's tail braid looks nice.

I never braided my pony's hair. My parents didn't let me have hair ties and my pony ribbons were with the Barbies. However ponies I've acquired second hand over the last 15 years have had the traditional tail/mane braid. I've had a few with lots of teeny tiny braids in the tail and of course the super-fantastic how did you do that dreadlocks.

Ooooh my, she looks like she has spend time with me as a child lol. From that day I learned how to braid hair I was doing it to everypony (and every Barbie and every doll and... and so on). I did those braid-in-a-braid-in-a-braid thing pretty often and ruined my Flower Boquets hair with it as a kid I think... but well, I loved it! (I still do... but I try my best to do not so tight braids so they would not ruin the hair ;))

That braid is crazy awesome!  I wish I had the dexterity to do that, but I have enough trouble with normal braids.

Pony hair pleats are not something my childhood ponies suffered from. Sindy tended to suffer all my hairdresser skills as a child...the ponies were treated very preciously.

However, I have to say thats a lot of effort you put into that style - very impressive!

Aw, she looks cute!  :)

I used to brain each of Raincurl's sections of hair and then twist them around and tie them together.  a Got rid of her curls pretty fast that way.  :)

Looking back on it, I think all I did as a child was braid my ponies/dolls hair into weirder and weirder things.  :art:
