Their heads don't seem to be very poseable, so I'd imagine they'd fall over backward if you tried to stand them up on two legs due to the weight. Plus they'd always be looking up.

Although, is it just me, or does that Pinkie with the swan boat seem to have more of a neck than the other toys?

They seem to have rotating necks.

Hmm, this is a really interesting idea. I love the idea of poseable ponies, like action figures, and it ties in nicely with the show where the ponies do all sorts of things besides just standing and walking! I wonder if they'd have been better if they were slightly larger, perhaps, more like G1/G3 size? better/subtler joints, and then if the rump were bigger the cutie mark could go there instead of on the leg. I do like G4 but the standard size ponies are so wee compared to my earlier generations.

Still, I like that Starlight especially...I love her design and color scheme, even if the character was not very nice!

Oh, okay! That's better than them not moving at all.

Aside from the wierd mouth on Fluttershy , i think they are pretty neat. I dig the different wings.
Will pick up Twilight and Coco if i get the chance.

New questions about them, will they be able to stand on two legs? I hope so, but I won't hold my expectations high.
I doubt it, unless they are not head heavy.. which they likely will be and there won't be enough weight in the tail to balance them out... Unless the person was making them stand straight up which would make them look strange to do no other joints xD

I also noticed this.. the first photos we saw of these before the loose version from Tao.. RD's wings are like Fluttershy's.. So I'm wondering which version we'll get.
My DeviantArt, why not drop by and take a look!

I've never been a fan of articulated ponies, but these seem especially odd to me somehow. I think it has to do with the overall leg shape, even though skinny-on-top-wide-on-bottom is "show accurate". When the unnatural shape is given such noticeable segmentation, it gives a very insectoid or robotic look to the whole thing that's rather off-putting. (Although perfect for a Peridot pony! Yes please!)

Love the swan boat, though! It reminds me a bit of the Enchanta from She-Ra. If only they'd gone with the Sea Harp, we could've had a kinda-sorta sea pony toy at long last.

I noticed something weird about the static brushable waves. Only the first wave of ribbon ponies (AJ, Pinkie, RD, and Rarity) are available on EE and BBTS. The only wave with Starlight Glimmer and zapcode FS is the new one with the bow headbands. I wonder if the ribbons were poorly received at Toy Fair so they replaced the second wave of those with the bow ones.

I was never really a fan of articulated ponies, not even the ballerina ponies in g1.  They just never look quite right to me.

I'm also dying to see these in person-  I really like the way the leg joints look. I kinda wish they'd tried this with the larger ponies (but then I guess they'd probably be expensive)

So glad they are trying something new- I hope the kids like them :D  (I think they will, just think how popular MH is compared to Barbie now- kids LIKE poseable toys)

Probably it would have looked better with larger ponies, but those are brushable/playful size, right? If it's like that, I'll get them anyway. I don't have space for Fashion Styles.
