Pony Guitar

I wasn't sure about posting, but decided to come out of my shell and post anyway (I don't think I'm very good.)
I thought it was a little different than what's normally done, so I gave it a whirl.
This is a guitar that was given to me that my husband said he would play at one of his bands' shows if I put something on it. I went to work and finished it in about 3 weeks. It's all india ink. I have not been able to seal it yet. I have gone to a few guitar shops and asked and they gave a few recommendations, but I haven't pursued it. Any critiques are welcomed!

Are you kidding me?! This is amazing, wow! The style reminds me of tattoo work, or indeed wood burning. I also love the semi-realistic look combined with the more stylized elements like the flowing mane. I'm sure your husband will be super proud to play it in public! That will also be a great way to advertise your art sales.

Thank you everyone. I appreciate all of the kind words! I am very hard on myself when it comes to my art. I always feel I'm not good enough and that someone is always going to be better...which is true to an extent. I'd like to do more artwork and get braver and try to sell it or at least have art as a part time job in some way. It is my passion.

Don't put yourself down! True, all artists should have a critical eye to better their own work, but saying you're no good is going too far. You've obviously had loads of practice and have a natural hand at drawing realistically--that's talent and perseverance that not a lot of people have! Some might say that a work of art's worth is in the eye of the artist, but art is and always will be subjective. There are so many artists whose work I admire, but I don't (well, try not to) put myself down because I am me, and I will eventually develop my own style. Plus, those artists are great inspiration and lead me to experiment and continue practicing my craft!

I really don't have any constructive criticism to give, because composition-wise, this is pretty much flawless. I love how beautifully the unicorn fits into the guitar's obscure shape, and the little feather to the right is a nice delicate touch. Keep up the good work!
