I have two of him. He's my favorite BB. I also have made a few Barnie inspired customs...

Have him. One of my favorite BB ponies! I got him in a swap a while ago.

I would love to have him someday, he's gorgeous! Also I have a major weakness for nautical-themed ponies.

Barney belongs to my sister.

This is the story of her getting him.

It was summer, some time in the mid 1990s. We were on holiday at the seaside in Wales. My sister and I were on the beach and we found a stranded starfish out on the sand. We got bucket and spade and we rescued it, taking it out to sea to try and "save it". My sister really wanted Barnacle the pony at that point, so she named the starfish "Barnacle". (Barney for short).

We came home from holiday early on a Saturday morning. The next morning we walked up to the carboot sale.

And there, we found Barnacle.

And Naynie's had him ever since. As a kid she believed he was a "reward" from the Starfish, for saving it.

In this house, he's generally been known as "Barney". He's her favourite Big Brother pony.

In my ponies' universe, he's Princess Serena's mischievous twin brother who didn't want to learn to be a prince and instead stowed away on a pirate ship so he could go on adventures. Though looking at my shelf, I'm wondering if Cherry Sweet would make a more logical sibling--I think her colors match him better.
