Restoring Twinkler
« on: August 25, 2015, 03:39:18 AM »
I need some help with restoring my Twinkler. I got her about year or two ago, she wasn't in the best condition, I think she didn't have a tail and her mane was cut short. Back then I was someone who would customized a bait pony. Thank goodness I didn't give her a complete colour change. I've removed the paint from her but she need abit of a wash to get the last little bits off of her.

Here's some pictures of her to give you an idea of what condition she is in.

Also here is one of her cutie mark because that was where I painted her. Sorry that the picture is a bit blur.

So what I need help with is finding the right hair colour and finding where to get the tinsel for this pony. I use Dollyhair.com normally for my pony hair.

Thanks.  ;)

I wish you the best of luck in restoring her! I just finished my first a few days back, and it was a blast!

Does her hair type not show up on Dollyhair under the color listings?

I think for tinsel there are a couple of sites listed on the MLP Preservation Project page. Have you tried
Donna Bella Hair? I think there is a good variety of tinsel types on that site.

Surprising not but using this site https://sites.google.com/site/mlphaircolorguide/ (which I only realized I had bookmarked a few hours ago) I could find the exact hair colour I would need. Which turned out to be Sour Grapes.

No, because this was the first time dealing with a pony that had tinsel in their hair. I have re-rooted and customized quite a few ponies but never a tinsel pony.
The site looks like it has what I'm looking for.

Thank you for your help!
