Thanks so much Breyer600, I'll let her know! And that confirms my suspicions that they aren't actually from the '90s. She's also got some G3s listed as being from the '90s, so I wondered.  ;)

the ones from the 90s are my pretty mermaid and had a marking on their tails that appeared with cold (or was it warm?) water.

Yeah, that's what I thought. These look pretty different from those ones.

Those are actually the prettiest mermaid dolls I've seen since the old vintage Sea Wees.
Nirvana grails:  Reverse Gusty (upgrade), Peru Windy and Moonstone (upgrade), Brazil TAF upgrades, Argie Powder w/ white hair (upgrade), French Windy and Moondancer (upgrades), Spain TAF's, TE's, and piggies.  These are my biggest wants, but I'm looking for tons more nirvanas, especially Greeks, Brazilians, and Peruvians.  Feel free to PM me for sales or trades.  But please note that I'm also fairly picky.

The dollar store often has fakies in this mold. I think they are super cute!

As much as I have never really liked Barbie on principle-  a LOT of the Barbie Fairytopia stuff was incredibly cute... especially the mermaids and fairies.
