The Underrated Ponies Appreciation Thread!

I need some better pics, but my favourite G1 has probably got to be Sweet Clover. She is popular, but hardly ever gets mentioned. I didn't even know about her until a few years ago. She has great accessories too!:-

Thanks for sharing, moonflower! I can't decide if I like UK Sweet Clover or German Sweet Clover more. I love the shade of the German's body, but I love how monochromatic the UK is.

I love all the ponies posted here so far! As a kid I was obsessed with Nibs and Dibs, I love their pose and their colour scheme

I also second that Baby Sea Ponies need more love. Dipper is an amazing Baby Sea Pony. All the Sea Sparkle ones are. They need way more love

Sweet Clover wasn't even appreciated properly by the UK >< She's one of the few ponies who was never in a story in the MLP comic.

I like the UK one best because that's the one we had here, but I do love the delicate shades of the Continental one. I have NO clue why they're different though. The UK one seems to come up less so I guess her lack of publicity here had an impact on her sales.

Another pony I don't think gets enough love (for similar lack of publicity reasons) is Cascade. She's much prettier IMO than Sprinkles, but she gets forgotten...

So many cute ponies already! I believe that Painting Time is underrated as far as I can tell I bought her a few months ago and she's so much prettier in person

I can't post a picture right now because I am at work, but I think G1 Pinwheel is majorly underrated. Beautiful colors, cute symbol, awesome name..... I love everything about this pony!

Most of the later year g2s and g3s deserve more love than they get. I also think the Sunshine ponies are really cute, even if their hair is a pain to tame. And while not specifically /ponies/, I find evenly grayed Ringlets and white ponies with fully faded pink hair (TAF Yum Yum, Dutch Singalong, etc) absolutely beautiful.

Also, Shady is best pony!

Hmm, you're right, I have seen Blueberry Baskets to have a bit more notoriety. My personal favorites in the set are Cranberry Muffins and Boysenberry Pie, but raspberries are my favorite food, so she's on my wishlist as well!

Dipper was my FAVORITE Baby Sea Pony! I still have her, she needs a spa day in a big bad way though...

I have no idea who's underrated and who isn't... but I recently cleaned up my Magic Message Windy, after sniffing disdainfully at her while she was in my to-do pile.... remembering now how much I loved her as a child. I know not everyone is a fan of Magic Message ponies, I don't really care for them much as a whole, so.... maybe they count? ^^*

My girl cleaned up well though, despite the fact the I utterly destoryed her symbol as a kid. I did kind of get a kick out of the apples appearing int he tree when I was washing her, even with her symbol as ruined as it is.

Can I just say BBEs in general? They aren't so creepy in person. I'll admit, before I saw one in person, I thought they were freaky too, but look at how innocent Baby Frosting is.
