I don't have any suggestions, but if you can, please take pictures in Parabox!  I'd love to see what it looks like.

EDIT: Oh! You could go to the Mirai Store! http://www.dannychoo.com/en/post/27307/Mirai+Store+Tokyo.html

What about mandarake? I know their items they list online are also in one of their stores
Or the volks store? I imagine other bjd companies have stores too

holy smokes!!!! i'd love to go there. but will i be able to go and not drop 600$ on a doll. that's a big chunk of my budget so no big dolls. might be fun to go see though. wonder how they react to people not buying anything.

didn't think of that.
i wonder if any of the stores have locations in osaka or kansai. that's where i'll be spending the most of my time.

Mandarake complex in Akihabara is massive!! If you're going for dollies then I suggest asking (if you know how) where they are located, which floor. I went there and I got confused and left without finding anything doll related, also a note that the floors have little to no space to move between the goods so I suggest having someone wait with bags etc by the door of each floor so you can actually have a look at everything.

Volks is awesome!! It depends on if you want to see Dollfie Dream or Super Dollfies. If you're more interested in DDs then go to Doll Point in Akihabara, if it's SDs then the shop in Harajuku (I think it's called Tenshi no Mado) is simply stunning! Doll Point does have SDs but mainly specialises in DDs and aren't really helpful when it comes to asking about things (even in Japanese). Both are easy to find as you can find photo guides/maps on the internet.

0.0!!! i actually know where that store is! i always wondered what was inside. but was normally in too big a hurry to stop.

my friend wants to stop in akihabara so maybe that would work. i prefer smaller dolls. 1/4 or smaller. maybe someday i'll get a 1/3 but not yet. depends on what i fall in love with. this is super helpful. thank you both!

Volks has mini Dollfie Dreams which is roughly 1/4 size and you should find them at Doll Point. As for the Harajuku store, I don't know what dolls they have in stock as I went there the day after one of their doll parties and they didn't have anything in stock but you might be able to find Super Dollfie Midi or YoSD sized dolls. But it's worth it just to look around their show room - absolutely gorgeous!!

You've got some good suggestions so far so I'll just say lucky you! Have a great time and take pics if you can, though some shops don't like customers taking pics. I bet you'll find tons of dolls and clothes and props. Yay for you! I'm jealous :)

I was also going to suggest that you go to visit Culture Japan and their Smart Doll store. ^.^ I know that Danny Choo will visit with anyone who wants to meet him if he's not busy att! I would love the opportunity to meet him!!!! If you do get to go and you do meet him please, please, please tell him that Kym Cherry sends her love! :frolic: I have been lucky enough to correspond with him a bit in the recent past; he seems like a super-cool guy!! :momiji:

I am so, SO Jappy (that's a little jelly but mostly happy! LOL ) Japan is on my bucket list!!! Do bring us back lots of pictures, wherever you may decide to go!! :lovey:

I hope that you have a wonderful time!

How lucky!  Agree with all the previous suggestions of stores to visit.  Have a super good time (which we know you will ^_^) and take TONS of dolly pics to share when you get back!
