Scrub-a-Dub Tub giftpack with SHS pony, MGR pony, and Sparkle pony

This got mentioned in the Schoolhouse thread so I thought I'd start a thread for this obscure playset.

Basically, this was the regular Scrub-a-Dub Tub, but it included Sparkle pony Sky Rocket, MGR Sunnybunch, and SHS Springsong.  I really thought it was an urban legend until someone who had it as a kid dug out her box for it and took pictures.  This was years ago and sadly I don't know if I still have the pictures (if I even saved them).

Here's what I remember about the box:

It was REALLY BIG.  Springsong, Sky Rocket, and Sunnybunch were pictured on the box (literal pictures of them, not drawings) standing on fluffy "clouds."  The box listed them as being included, so they weren't there just as models for the tub.  Actually, I'm not sure if they were even wearing any of the tub gear.

The name of the set was very simple.  I think just "Scrub-a-Dub Tub Giftpack" or "Giftset" or something like that.  The box was in English.  I think it was from the US.

If anyone else has information or remembers anything, feel free to chime in.

Wow! That sound so interesting! I hope someone has pictures!
Funny that hasbro actually made a new box for them and not just a large sticker to put on the existing box.
But when thinking more about it.. Wouldn't the regular box be a bit to small for 3 ponies? Maybe they needed to make a bigger one?


When talking about strange playset's.. I actually own a Sprinkles pony moc (yes on card). (Without her playset, and only a few accessories).
We got her like that in Sweden... A bit cheap!

I actually saw that at the 2010 MLP Fair.  I really wanted it but already had all the ponies.

It's a huge square box with pictures of the ponies and the tub.

Note the "pony colors may vary" sign on the left corner... seems like it came with various different ponies (one SHS, One MGR and one Sparkle Pony I think)!

I have one!  I bought it from ashlyne (???) at the 2014 Fair.  Those are the ponies that came with the one I have but I think they could have been any pony from those 3 particular sets.  I'm at work but I can get pics later if anyone wants to see them.  It's pretty unremarkable though, there's no special paperwork or anything (at least not in mine).

Wow, I've never heard of this gift set. You learn something new all the time in this hobby... so they could have come with any pony in that set, regardless of what's on the box?

Also, this gift set is new to me, but I imagine it was a great way to get rid of surplus ponies from those sets...

 I've actually had two at one time.  Both sets had Sky Rocket, Spring Song and Sunnybunch (not Flower Bouquet as shown on the box).   My set has a store sticker from "Hills"  but I do not know if it was actually an exclusive.   Hills, at the time they were open, were kind of like a TJ Maxx or Marshall's store today.   Hills got bought out by Venture, and then I think they went by the wayside.

The playset itself seems identical to the set sold without the ponies.

So it seems like this set always came with Sky Rocket, Springsong, and Sunnybunch, not random ponies?  Does anyone know of any exceptions?   I want to add info on this set onto My Little Wiki.

Also does the box have a date?  I'm guessing it's from Year 7 since the ponies and tub are from Year 7?

I got this set when I was younger. I got mine from either Jc penny's or kohls I can't remember which. Mine came with sunny bunch as well!
