HI! I got a new family member a few days ago, of the furry variety. :p

I had been looking for another cat for a few months now, I knew I was sorta looking for a black cat, preferably male, and young.

What I got was Pixel, a mostly black, young, female. xD hey I'm not complaining, I adore her!

I got a call from my sister, who says, her brother in law had these cats that lived on his property, he had them all fixed as they were originally outside cats. Unfortunately they have a coyote problem and this tough lady was the last one left. :c He brought her inside and started looking for a new home for her instantly! She showed me some pictures and I hesitantly agreed! I usually like to meet animals before I agree to take them just in case theres something off, but they live so far away, that trips back and forth just weren't practical.

So I meet him and pick up the kitty and bring her home. I have a lot of experience with nervous animals in new environments, I fully expected her to take a few days to really get used to her new space. I DID not expect her to start rubbing up on me and begging for scratches within the hour!

3 days later she seems totally at ease in our room, I haven't let her out into the main house yet, as we have two other old cats, they all know each other exist at this point, and Pixel has made her voice heard as well. I've had one accidental encounter when my male cat Mazor decided to dash into my room quick as anything. xD He was NOT happy to see his space being claimed by this ferocious little girl. He jumped onto his window and rumbled at her every time she took a step like "NO this is my room, you need to leave now!" Unfortunately for him I promptly removed him from his self appointed throne and he's returned to making menacing noises at her from the other side of the door.

My other cat, Tora, wants nothing to do with her, shes always been a bit more timid, but will give a warning slap if she feels the need. Pixel and Mazor both seem to have the same dominant personality, So well see where that brings us.

For now I'm just enjoying the alone time and cuddles from this awesome cat! ^-^

Pixel is such a cute name, I love it! She sounds like a very friendly little kitty! I hope her and the older cats can learn to get along.

Thanks so much everyone, ^-^ Shes such a darling little thing.
I was so worried I would need to do some potty training with her, I was told that she was an outside cat until JUST before I got her, but she's used her box just fine without me needing to correct her!

I was also pretty worried because they told me she hadn't been eating for a few days, and I had sort of expected that she might not just because she was nervous. But again, she found her food the first night and has been finishing everything I give her. I'm just so thrilled about her. :p

The only problem is her testing her limits, xD which is perfectly natural for a little cat, Shes very smart though! She already stays off my desk and tv shelf. She knows that when I snap my fingers, it means "NO," she looks at me and backs up. xD
