"Hasbro Inc. and generationOn, the youth division of Points of Light, kicked off a global campaign around My Little Pony to encourage kids to volunteer in their school, neighborhood, or broader community in advance of the globally recognized International Day of Friendship on July 30.

The campaign will invite children and their families to celebrate friendship by completing acts of kindness and volunteering. Families can visit MyLittlePony.Hasbro.com/FriendshipDay for service project ideas that strengthen friendship and help others.

Additionally, there will our international events, taking place in Singapore (July 25), New York City (July 30), São Paulo (August 5), and London (August 7), will engage hundreds of children in volunteer activities inspired by each of the six main My Little Pony characters."

Huh.  That's kind of neat I guess.  Don't know why we need to devote a day to something like "friendship", but whatever.  That's a pretty cool idea for kids and adult pony fans who are actually interested in friendship and doing good and that kind of stuff.

I think thats a great idea! I know for some its a little cheesy but anything teaching something good is worth a go.
